  1. DVR Card for PCI slot

Posted by John on 15th Nov 2016

I have been using these DVR cards for several years now, back when I bought them they were more like $100.00 each.
These DVR cards work good and are easy to use, if you have an old computer that has an earlier OS and you don't have a use for it anymore, or even if you do, you can turn it into a nice DVR cheap with these cards.
I have 2 old HP D530 Tower computers with XP pro OS and I have 1 of these cards in each of them, makes 2 DVR's displayed on 2 different monitors.
I have a home Ethernet LAN and I disabled my DVR computers from the internet, but they are still available on my LAN and visible on my other computers using the DVP (Digital Video Player) that comes on the install disc for the DVR cards.
If you disable the computer from the internet, you don't need most programs or virus protection or even IE, it's only available to you on your LAN.
I can view 16 camera views from everywhere I have a Windows 10 newer laptop computer (4 different locations), very handy. I put extra hard drives in the HP computers for massive recording space.
Now I have good use for my old computers that I otherwise would not have.
    Thank you,
    CIB (USA Security Store)
